5. Samuel Wholey (c.1781-1850) [Bap: 28-Nov-1781, Morton, Derbyshire (IGI)] [Occupation: Employed by the Duke of Devonshire as 2nd Coachman at Devonshire House, London. In the staff records the earliest mention of him is for 1824, and the last is for 1846, although it is possible that he may have been employed before and after these dates. In his will he left money to; Ann Millford, wife of William Millford, Exeter; Catherine Thompson, wife of (illegible) Thompson, Rugby; Sarah Sweeting, wife of David Sweeting of Nottinghamshire; as well as Thomas Wholey and the son of his late sister (see below).
